TV Producer and Writer Howard Gordon to Speak at Suits & Spooks Kalispell
Storytelling is an essential part of Warfare, Intelligence, and Politics

This will be a short announcement.
The X Files.
24.
Homeland.
Need I say more?
“24” and “Homeland” both have story lines that are inspired by key events in the national security history of the United States - the attacks on 9/11 and the resulting war in Afghanistan.
Storytelling has always been a critical part of warfare. It might be called Information Operations when it’s conducted against an enemy force, or “Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace” when it’s part of the planning process to mount counterinsurgency operations.
In politics, telling a better story than your opponent gets you elected. Maybe that’s why actors have been such effective politicians.
Howard will be giving a one hour talk with Q&A, and also join a panel discussion with Bianca Goodloe, Esq. and Variety Executive Editor Tatiana Siegel on Hollywood’s history of interaction with the Intelligence Community. More details to follow soon.
